Bentley Motors, the most sought-after luxury car brand globally, unveiled the latest addition to the Flying Spur family in Belgium at the 2022 Autoworld Museum. The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid marks an important model for Belgium and Europe, where demand for electrified products has been exceptionally strong during 2021.
The introduction of the new Flying Spur Hybrid is the brand’s first electrified sedan and the most environmentally friendly Bentley to date. The vehicle offers a seamless merger between the internal combustion engine and electric motor, enabling progressive serenity regardless of the driving characteristics demanded by the driver.
The new powertrain combines a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine with an advanced electric motor, delivering 544 PS (536 bhp) and 750 Nm (553 lb. ft) of torque – an additional 95 PS in comparison to the Bentayga Hybrid. The new Flying Spur becomes the most efficient Bentley ever, having the capability to cover over 700 km when fully fuelled.
Making its European debut, the Flying Spur Hybrid and having already introduced the Bentayga Hybrid marks an important step in the Beyond100 strategy. This strategy has Bentley set on becoming a fully end-to-end carbon neutral brand by 2030.
On its journey, it will see the entire Bentley range having an electrified drivetrain option by 2024 and the brand’s first BEV in 2025.
Balazs Rooz, Regional Director, Europe, commented: “We are very much looking forward to engaging with Belgian customers and fans of the Bentley brand at Autoworld. With the recent announcement of our strong performance across Europe, supported by a double-digit increase result, 2022 will be another busy year with the brand activities ahead of us. While the Flying Spur Hybrid will reach our customers from April onwards, we are excited to hear the feedback from this first public appearance in Europe.”
Flying Spur Hybrid is available to order in most markets but is currently not available in EU27, UK, Switzerland, Israel, Ukraine, Norway, Turkey, and Vietnam.
