Mercedes-Benz has announced a special-edition G-Wagen variant called the G–Class Edition 550.
The G-Class Edition 550 is available in three of Mercedes’ high-end Manufaktur colors: Jupiter Red, Arabian Grey, and Moonlight White, which is the newest addition to the color palette.
This special edition also gets a new badge that shows the silhouette of a G-Class climbing a mountain.
Limited to just 200 units made across the globe, the new G-Class Edition 550 will be available in Jupiter Red, Arabian Grey, and an exclusive MANUFAKTUR shade called Moonlight White. Whichever you go for, it’ll be offset by black bumpers and fender flares, unlike the body-color version of these elements found on the standard G 550.
It also rides on glossy black, 14-inch rims and has Edition 550 badging that includes an emblem depicting the 4×4 climbing a mountain.
The car itself is based on the non-AMG G550 model, which gives it a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine pushing out 416 horsepower.
Unlike the standard models, however, the Edition 550 will also come with black lower trim for a more tactical aesthetic along with 20-inch AMG 14-spoke wheels in black that previously came as an upgrade option.
On the inside, the new G-Wagon takes on a two-tone Nappa leather upholstery paired with a sportier carbon-fiber trim.
You’ll be able to opt for massaging front seats too, which will complement the various 1 of 200 special-edition badging found across the cabin and on the exterior as well.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any details regarding availability and pricing just yet, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates from Mercedes-Benz.
